Effect of Planting Dates on Performance of Broccoli In Costal Area of Bangladesh

The field experiment on broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. italica L.) taking three planting dates viz., 21 November, 01 December and 11 December, 2019 four genotypes, namely BARI Broccoli-1, Thiland-1, Thailand-2 Japan-1 was conducted during rabi season of 2019-20 in the experimental Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, On-Farm Division, Dawlatpur, Khulna to investigate effect growth yield genotypes saline soil having salinity level 2.6-4.8 dS/m . laid out 4 x 3 factorial randomized complete block design with replications. genotype gave maximum number leaves/plant (25.44), fresh weight (830.77 g), stem/plant (311.69 root/plant (53.47 which were not reflected into attributes. produced significantly lower all characters than those but highest curd diameter (18.11 cm, (360.19 g) (16.01 t/ha) genotypes. Broccoli planted November initiated early flower head, recorded (27.84), (800.87 (313.73 (60.79 (17.01 cm), (285.65 (12.69 t/ha). Thiland-2 coupled showed best performance respect (419.74 g/plant) (18.66 t/ha).
